Trainer/ Assessor

• Provide Training to the Candidate, teaching them the safe work practices that Rio Tinto abide too.

Mine 9/ Pit Patrol

• General tasks around the pit, including delineation, signage or any other pit standards that are needed.
• Pre-starting and reporting any faults or issues to supervisor, pick up and drop off personnel to their equipment around the pit.
• Work in and around autonomous haul system maintain safe work area for myself and my work mates.
• Refine locations and provide feedback to Pit control with updates on tip heads and new Roads and locations that have been surveyed.
• Suspend and Release Haul Trucks, safely board and operate haul truck in a safe manner.
• Set up and/or relocate Lighting plants for Dig units and Dump location to provide light for a safe working environment.

• Driving to standard regulations of the pit when collecting of payloads, then dropping off payloads at the crushers.

Mine Nine Role

• General labour tasks, pre-start inspections of lighting plant and light vehicles, pick up and drop off of personnel, delineation of the pit.

• Tram in and out of the crusher area to clear the crusher of rocks. Tram along stockpiles to clear of any large rocks

• Cleaned building floors by sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing floors.
• Disinfected restrooms, kitchens and other common areas to remove bacteria and maintain hygiene standards.
