  • Coordinated closely with supervisors to address any issues or concerns promptly, enabling swift resolution of problems as they arose.
  • Loaded, unloaded, and sorted cargo as part of accurate and efficient weekly shipments.
  • Operate Internal Transfer Vehicle which is designed to carry 2 x 20ft and or 1 x 40ft shipping containers to allocated positions within the terminal on discharge of the ship and delivery of correct containers under the crane from within the yard in correct order of sequence for loading.
  • Head lashing foreman. Direct lashing crew on the lashing and unleashing of the ship, monitoring fatigue with manual labour, provide safe work practises and communicate with supervisor and ships crew up to date lashing that prevents costly crane delays and shipping departure times.

  • Operating a range of forklifts varying in size from 2t - 35t.
  • Performing Dogman duties for: Crawler cranes, Franna cranes, Tower and Harbour cranes, Critical lifts, concrete blocks, containers, steel structures and machinery.
  • Logistical operations involved with loading and unloading cargo.
  • Maintaining a high level of quarantine standards in all aspects of the working environment to protect the CLASS 1 listing of Barrow island.
  • Maintaining and adhering to high level of OH&S standards and procedures the Chevron require.
  • Organizing and supplying various work gangs with required lifting gear/materials needed to carry out the scope of works.
  • Maintaining, servicing and stock taking of equipment and machinery.
