Company Overview: SA Quarry operations C&L - Supply of Raw materials to Birkenhead and Augustan cement plants

• Acts as the designated Mine Manager as per the Chapter 10 of the Work Health and Safety Regulations for the Klein Point mine and fringe quarry's .
• Ensures regulatory compliance with the approved Mine Plan (PEPR)
• Ensures compliance to the ABC Group Policies, standards procedures as well as Legislative requirements and License conditions at the Klein Point mine.
• Manages the mining, rehabilitation, crushing, stockpiling, ship berthing, and ship loading operations to meet safety, environmental, regulatory, quality and volume requirements.
• Ensures the timely collection and analysis of drilling samples to facilitate short, medium and long-term mine plan development.
• Manages the development of new mining areas within the PEPR and assists with proposed changes to the PEPR to allow new mining areas.
• Ensures the kiln grade and high-grade limestone loaded on the Accolade and delivered to the Birkenhead Site are at the required quantity and quality to maintain Clinker and cement production.
• Ensures the development and execution of a long-term mine plan to ensure optimal long-term cost of operations and maximise resource life.
• Ensures asset life plans are in place and complied with for mobile equipment.
• Capture and implement small group improvement initiatives
• Model exemplary safety behaviours and lead a safe working culture

• Manage the mining operations to ensure sufficient stock build at Birkenhead and to meet production targets.
• Develop and execute an annual operating and capex budget.
• Manage operations to minimise cost per tonne by optimising mining equipment efficient utilisation, minimising overtime, and minimising equipment hire costs.
• Planning and coordination of the daily mine plan to meet quality requirements.
• Supply and ensure the effective oversight to berth the Accolade.
• Manage ship loading operations to meet target loading rates.

• On site plant consisting of 1 D8 dozer, 2 D9 dozers, 3 D10 dozers, 1 D11 dozer 2 Komatsu 457 dozers, 2 Cat 345 diggers, 1 Hitachi 1100 digger, 1 Hitachi 1900 digger, 5 Cat 777 haul trucks, 14h and 16h grader, 988-980 and 2 966 Cat loaders, Cat 740 articulated water truck and a Cat 775 water truck
• Involved with all aspects of the mining activities on site from overburden stripping and stockpiling, supplying feed to a mining unit, mine rehabilitation, haul road construction and maintenance, tailings storage and dewatering and various other tasks involved with the successful running of a mine
• Ensure contractual compliance
