Accomplishments

Engineering related Projects:

  • 1st year general engineering project: This project is mandatory group project for all first year engineering students. In this project our group was tasked in designing and making a small scale remote control fire truck that was able to put out small simulated fires. This project tested a variety of engineering disciplines as the course involved all engineering specialties.
  • 2nd year electrical engineering group project: In this project we were tasked with designing and making a mechanical macro pad. This included designing and manufacturing a PCB, programming the microcontroller unit for the device, programming UART and SPI communication between the macro pad and a computer and a GUI software that allows control of the device from the computer. My role in this project was to complete the GUI software as well as be the groups team leader, which required keeping the other members on track and managing the integration of everyone's work together.
  • Radio controlled sorting machine: In this project I developed a program which utilised a series of peripherals in order to control a sorting machine via radio transmission using the FreeRTOS operating system on an stm32 microcontroller.
