Daniel Casey

My employment background is predominantly in the hospitality sector. I have found this area of work the most flexible while I complete my legal studies. However, I am now looking to move closer to my goal occupation and gain some valuable experience in the legal sector while I continue my studies at QUT.

My units at QUT this year are 'Corporate Law', 'Sports Law', 'Family Law' and 'AI, Robots and the Law'. The corporate and sport legal sectors are the two areas which currently interest me the most however I'm very keen to explore other areas as well.

Throughout the past 5 years i have undertaken a great number of extra-curricular activities and excursions that i believe have shaped me into a hard working and driven individual. I completed the 2021 London Marathon after raising almost £5000 for charity. I participated in a school exchange visit to Malawi where me and 9 hand-picked others lived in a rural village for two weeks. During this trip, I immersed myself into a culture completely different from my own and in doing so strengthened my traits of selflessness and perseverance. I am currently playing for Holland Park Hawks in Metro division 3 which has further developed my teamwork and communication skills

Now living in Brisbane until July 2025, i hope to build on these experiences further and further improve myself. I believe i could be a valuable addition to your firm's working environment in whatever area you best see me fit.
