Daniel Dusi

• Turnout to various incidents, including however not limited to, automatic fire alarms, building fires, motor vehicle accidents, HAZMAT.
• Conduct watch room duties to dispatch fire services upon receipt of reported emergencies.
• Participate in training and assessments to develop and maintain skills in firefighting.
• Participate in airfield, aircraft and building familiarisation.
• Ensure integrity and maximum usability of firefighting vehicles and rescue equipment through regular servicing and maintenance.
• Previous custodian for firefighting foam and dry chemical powder. Monthly audits on stock held, order stock when required, monitored register for fire vehicle foam testing and dry chemical powder fluffing.

Structural Fire Controller

• Lead, manage, supervise and conduct incident controller duties for a crew of four to five firefighters.
• Accommodate a single vehicle response to aircraft incidents, emergencies and irregular occurrences on an aerodrome outside promulgated aerodrome operating hours.

• As a secondary role within the ADF, provided capability to Army and RAAF members by instructing PT sessions. Conducted basic fitness assessments for individual readiness.

• Perform duties as part of a mounted, dismounted and rotary wing crew ensuring hazard mitigation to effect safe extrication, initial medical treatment and casualty evacuation from armoured vehicles, aircraft, unsafe structures and other hazardous situations.
• Participate and conduct on the job training to develop combat rescue procedures.
• Maintain combat rescue equipment and vehicles.
• Gained the combat first aid qualification which enabled advanced first aid to defence personnel.
• Gained the ADF Fitness leader qualification.
• Led physical training sessions and assessments developing leadership skills and adaptability.
