Before transitioning into leadership roles, I honed my technical skills as a Senior Detailer and Senior Technician at the Stoddart Group, Richard Jackson, and Royal HaskoningDHV. In these roles, I managed detailed engineering designs for residential structures and international maritime projects.


I can quickly develop relationships with key stakeholders, internally and externally and I am able to present information in a clear and concise manner to all parties concerned. Team Leader Commercial

The Primary focus of my role is to lead, mentor and assist a multi-discipline teams, whilst overseeing the development and implementation of new or improved systems, process and procedures to maintain best practice in all departments (Pre-Contracts, Systems, Human Resources, Marketing, Legal and Governance). Some of my responsibilities are:


Human Resources Team:

  • Developed and implemented improved policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards;
  • Conducted regular audits and assessments of HR processes to identify areas for improvement and development;
  • Provided guidance and support to management and staff on HR-related governance matters, including ethics, diversity, and inclusion initiatives;
  • Driving employee engagement initiatives to promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture;
  • Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations in all locations where the company operates, including industrial relations matters;
  • Review and shortlist CVs, conduct phone screens and initial interviews with candidates; and
  • Oversee onboarding, offboarding, surveys, reviews, documents and updates in various location within Australian and internationally.


Legal and Governance Team:

  • Acted as a liaison between commercial and operational departments to address issues related to governance and risk management.
  • Overseeing and managing risk, compliance and governance processes on behalf of the company, including reporting on a quarterly SWOT analysis on aspects of the company, projects and team structures.
  • Assisting in the successful management of JJR's insurance portfolio while maintaining a “zero claims” target;
  • Australia and overseas entities of the business;
  • Overseeing property management of JJR's leased properties across Australia.
  • Overseeing Fair Work, National Employment Standards (NES) and Modern Award frameworks, changes and identifying their implications for the business;
  • Overseeing the process of creating, negotiating, and executing contracts and other legal agreements between an organisation and outside parties; and
  • Overseeing and assisting debt recovery of all overdue invoices, including the preparation of letters of demand, statutory demands, default notices and security of payment adjudications on a state-by- state basis.


Marketing Team:

  • Overseeing the development of marketing strategy for all aspects of the business,
  • Redesign and implementation of capability statements and resume for different market services and sectors within each operational team, while keeping to set branding criteria;
  • Promoting JJR Value both internally and externally;
  • Streamline development and implementation of the Events and Awards Process: and
  • Overseeing the Fleet Branding initiative for all JJR vehicle's.

Systems Team

  • Lead and assisted the Systems team in the development and enforcement of internal process, procedure and design documentation for all active and closed projects.
  • Maintaining and ensuring compliance of JJR's Integrated Management System (IMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 (Quality Management Systems), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems) and IS0 45001 (OH&S Management Systems) across the organisation.; and
  • Gathering client feedback on active project for reporting purposes for customer satisfactions purposes;


Pre-contract Team:

  • Leading, managing and training Pre-contracts Team, developing and implementing new and improved processes to increase effectiveness and efficiency to the team and overall process.
  • Delivering 70 to 90 tenders with varying complexity to tight deadlines, while improving cost accuracy and increasing overall winning percentage;
    Continuous development of internal bid's management software (L33T);
  • Development of digital reporting function utilising internal; and
  • Undertaking market research and review trends in data for future work opportunities.


PMO controls:

  • Developing and implementing additional tools and controls for the operational teams to improve efficiency in the project management of all projects;
  • Overseeing project deliverables are met to to agreed timeline via weekly meetings;
  • Overseeing invoice forecasting on a fortnightly basis; and
  • Monitoring all team's time sheet records to ensure proper and accurate recording of time spent on projects and elsewhere.

  • Training, mentoring team leaders and junior leadership team in management styles etc;
  • Implementation of Business improvement plans for all associated team inline with core goals and trajectory of business;

Detailing Manager

Responsible for 38 detailer's and coordinators 6 estimators and 4 production of varying levels across multiple location Australia and Overseas for single storey, two storey, multi residential, relocatable and custom design homes. The last fourteen months of my tenure I managed, lead and developed, the Detailing, Estimation, Engineering and Pre Production teams.

Responsibility were:

  • Leading and supporting the Detailing Team across multiple locations to produce drawings and plans for manufacture and installation, while ensuring these meet the set quality, quantity and time targets.
  • Designed and implemented KPI monitoring framework to monitor the team and Performance against key performance indicators such as drawing accuracy, variations, communication and efficiency's.
  • Monitor the team and your Performance against set targets through monthly detailing meeting.
  • Creation of multiple reports such variations reporting, capability and capacity forecasting to identify any issues in a timely manner;
  • Implementation of individual training and development plans for all staff under to ensuring that workers are properly trained for their specific roles;
  • Design of structural members for floor systems and load bearing walls mark ups for customers were necessary;
  • Ensured that the team respond to critical customer needs as required;
  • Liaised and assisted internal and external stakeholders providing technical support regarding Estimating, Engineering, Detailing and Installation questions/queries in a professional and diligent manner;
  • Lead, motivate and assist team member, while looking for continuous improvement of systems and processes to maintain and enhance product offer;

Responsible for the development of detailed drawings for fabrication and installation of single storey, two storey, multi residential, relocatable and custom design homes.


My responsibilities include:

  • Designing/Detailing of light gauge steel walls, floors and roof trusses for fabrication and installation;
  • Designing/Detailing of structural elements for simple to complex houses, such Box Beams, PFC's, UC's, UB's, Portal Frames etc;
  • Assist, mentor and develop piers within the team;
  • Proactively communicated to clarify design intent,product specifications and technical details with key internal and external stakeholders were necessary in both a professional and diligent manner;
  • Undertake self checking and pier review checking of jobs, ensuring compliance with relevant building codes, industry, customer specifications and Stoddart's standards, processes and procedures;
  • Ensured agreed Detailing timeframes and conformance to customer specifications were met when checking;
  • Communication, meetings and liaison with clients and installers for progress on projects with multiple dwellings with varied deadlines for completion; and
  • Provide technical support and advice to installers and associated trades for detailed jobs.

Senior Technician

Responsible for the development of detailed engineering designs for ‘Preliminary' to ‘As Built' stages of the various structures projects across the UK, with the main project being Rectory Road, Hawkwell.


As the Lead Technician for this 175 plot development, I was responsible for the production of all, structural designs which included:

  • Foundation design;
  • Foundation Layouts and Details;
  • Completion of Bar Bending Schedules for 48 different dwelling types and retaining walls around the site;
  • Piling Layouts and Schedules;
  • Reinforcement designs and subsequent layout for different dwellings;
  • Site feature survey and reporting; and
  • Undertaking site inspection to ensure design criteria had been followed, to allow for concrete pouring.

Senior Technician

Senior Technician working with in a team of 5 Technicians working on a wide range of Maritime projects (International).


Port of Duqm, Oman - As the Lead Technician for the works on the Tug Berth Finger pier, I was responsible for the production of over 100 designs for civil, structural and mechanical elements of the build in a very short period of time.

Some of my other responsibilities included:

  • Communication, meetings and liaison with civil, mechanical and electrical engineers, for progress on the project with varied deadlines set for completion of packages such as general arrangements, sections, elevations etc;
  • Responsible for the production of both in-situ and precast reinforced concrete designs;
  • Supervising design production and guaranteeing specific deadlines were met;
  • Daily, weekly planning and forecasting of works; and
  • Undertaking timely inspections for to ensure design criteria had been achieved and any deviation was found and amended.


Dead Sea Works, Israel – As the Lead Technician I was responsible for undertaking site investigations and developing the concept packages that's consisted of two schemes with various stages due to the reduction of water over the course of twenty years life cycle.


Some of my other responsibilities included:

  • Site investigations and reporting;
  • Communication, meetings and liaison with Key stakeholder regarding scope brief and requirements and progress on this project;
  • Creating specific concept designs from rough sketches for 100m link arms and combined access bridge; and
  • Creating general arrangement designs with contour information and rotation of pontoon and bridge spans to meet a specific ground level.
