  • - I have completed the CIN or Acute Critical Nursing course which enables me to give general medications, S4 and S8 medications in accordance to the NSW Standing Orders
  • - I have completed the venepuncture course that enables me to take bloods samples via IVC or venepuncture
  • - As a senior nurse in emergency, I also help assist help junior nursing in general education regarding medications and procedures
  • - I am an Aseptic Technique Assessor which allows me to assess nursing and medical staff in ED at performing aseptic technique I am also a Sepsis Champion in ED where I educate nursing staff to recognise sepsis, how to fill out a form for a septic or possibly septic patient in ED I then log the data into the "Sepsis Kills" website via CEC
  • - I was involved in a improvement project called "Rolling Stones" which is aimed at decreasing the length of stay of patients with renal colic and ensuring their pain management is adequate, however, research had to stop due to high demand in ED and staff shortages
  • - I and a follow RN have done research to develop a pathway for Fairfield Hospital Emergency Department on how to manage and treat patients with RIB fractures which was completed in March 2024
