  • Working in the sponsors and marketing department at Allsport I performed a dual role. My main functions were to
    manage high profile key accounts with existing sponsors and manufacturers and also actively seek new business
    within this sector. I also performed the role of marketing point of contact for London within the organisation.
    The management of such accounts as Shell, Heineken, Vodafone, adidas A.G., Nike UK, The British Olympic
    Association etc. where I was the main point of contact, required the servicing of each client (and it’s global offices,
    licensee’s, marketing and advertising agencies) on a day to day basis. I also negotiated additional sales and most
    importantly new contracts before or upon expiry of any existing retainer. Being part of the sales team also meant a
    proactive element to my job and therefore I actively sought new business with major corporate sponsors and
    manufacturers within sport. This meant that I pitched proposals to potential clients both verbally and visually in the
    form of PowerPoint presentations. I also represented Allsport at trade shows in the UK and Europe to cement
    existing relationships and with an eye on new business, as well as attending BOA and IOC functions in a
    representative capacity.
    I also co-ordinated the creation of marketing material for Allsport, including the company’s global corporate
    brochure, a document that required me to gather written approval from the vast majority of Sports Organisations
    governing bodies world-wide.
