Leadership Volunteer Experience

SECRET HARBOUR SCOUT GROUP

My years of experience, from cub through to venturer, taught me leadership, organisation, time-management and working as a team. As a venturer, I was involved in organising and supervising camps and field trips for joeys, cubs and scouts, working with the scout group committee, participating in Clean Up Australia day, fundraising with McDonald's and Bunnings, and organising and supervising the scout's exhibition that takes place at the royal show. I completed further training in emergency situations and volunteered every year to participate in the ANZAC vigil and march. I was awarded a bronze medal of recognition from the Chief Commissioner for my role in the scout group.
