Summary

Currently working as Acting Manager of Orana Haven Hub- AOD outreach and support, case management service and have been for the past two years.

From 2008-2020, I worked as Director of Brewarrina Shire Childcare Centre and had to deal with many child protection issues, along with supporting and case managing, families as needed.

After working in Early childhood education for so many years, I wanted to change the direction of my career and move into a broader community service role in support and case management.

My current role has given me more advanced skills in case management and leading a team of case managers to seek positive outcomes for our clients.

It has also given me extensive Community engagement skills, taking me to communities outside of Brewarrina and getting to know other community dynamics, whilst engaging with, not only clients, but broader community members and stakeholders to raise the profile of my current organisation and form new relationships and partnerships with other Community Service organisations; creating and collaborating to bring positive outcomes and events for the communities involved.

I have been involved in successful grant applications collaboratively and independently and continue to gain more experience with each grant I apply for. I have been responsible for proposals, planning, budgeting and acquitting these grants, to arrange and coordinate community events, mental health and wellbeing events and most recently planned a community concert for two communities.

I feel my skills and vast experience working in the community of Brewarrina, and recently extending my community connections in other nearby towns, has set me up with skills that are easily transferable to this role.

I am committed to create positive outcomes for the Brewarrina Community and collaborating with other Community Services to bring us together, to create, not only positive outcomes for the community but equally for Brewarrina Shire Council.

I have excellent communication skills with an organized and systematic approach. I am ready to bring my previous and current experience to this new role.
