Dedicated and versatile professional with several years of experience in customer service, retail sales, and KPI-driven environments, complemented by hands-on experience in physically demanding linework roles requiring 10+ hour shifts. Skilled in operating heavy machinery, including forklifts, with a strong focus on safety and efficiency. Additionally, served as a full-time personal carer for a terminally ill family member, providing compassionate support with daily needs such as mobility assistance, hygiene, meal preparation, and household management. Proven ability to adapt to high-pressure situations with empathy, resilience, and reliability. Now seeking growth-oriented opportunities where I can apply my diverse skill set, strong work ethic, and commitment to personal and professional development.
While this is unpaid personal work, I had to resign from my job at Bureau Veritas to support my mother while my dad worked to provide for my family.
I provided full-time care for my terminally ill mother, who was diagnosed with brain cancer. This role required compassion, responsibility, and adaptability while managing day-to-day physical and emotional support needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Activities & Interests
In my previous role, I unofficially regularly stepped into a leadership capacity, effectively acting as Second-in-Charge (2IC) in the absence of the store manager. I was responsible for overseeing both the pawnbroking and retail operations, ensuring smooth day-to-day function across departments. This included managing customer service, processing transactions, handling sensitive items, and maintaining compliance standards. As well as money handling our entire stores reserves and making sure we balanced thousands of dollars each day. I also played a key role in onboarding and training new staff, providing guidance on company procedures, customer engagement, and product knowledge to help them integrate confidently and efficiently into the team.
In my previous position, I consistently operated across three key roles—Finance Operator, Pawnbroker, and Retail Sales Associate—often simultaneously. I adapted quickly between departments based on business needs, demonstrating strong multitasking abilities and a thorough understanding of each area’s responsibilities. While managing these varied duties, I maintained up-to-date knowledge of all relevant procedures and consistently met or exceeded KPIs in each section. This flexibility and performance contributed significantly to the store’s overall efficiency and customer satisfaction.
