She was the 2022 recipient of the Tommy Norman Award for Jazz piano, as well as the 2021 recipient of the Jeremy Cookes Ragtime Competition and the Pfeiffer Instrumental scholarship in 2019. In 2023, she was selected as an emerging artist to present an original set of music at COMA (Creative Original Music Adelaide) with her band Stickybeak. She has been a pianist for Fringe shows such as More Than a Game (2021-2022) as well as supporting Virago Circus for the Adelaide Cabaret. In 2022, she performed alongside Vince Jones for Helpmann Academy's A Night of Jazz and performed for the Emerging Piano Voices night at the LAB, curated by classical pianist Anna Goldsworthy. Darcie has a passion for working with young people in a variety of settings such as teaching piano from reception to Year 12 and working at an OSHC (out of school hours care) for Kindergarten to Year 6. Her goal as a Music Therapist is to support young people in their engagement and learning through music. Darcie is also the pianist for the band Maisie B, having recorded Dreaming and Cliché in 2022, and the EP Nothing but the Sun to be released late 2023.
