Data and insight has been a real focus over the past few years, and a specialism I have used to supercharge my marketing strategies to create measurable business outcomes. I am a passionate team player, and I believe an open and integrated approach to culture is vital, especially when engaging with my immediate team and dealing with our business partners.
This dual role encompasses all media campaigns in ANZ, as well pulling actionable insight from our highly engaged player base. On the media side, I am in charge of running the retained media agency; from campaign briefing, execution and reporting, to the day to day running of the account and bespoke projects. This requires liaising with global marketing team and other business remits, such as PR/Comms, commercial/sales and retail partners. The marketing analytics remit requires proficient use of a number of data tools and systems, combines marketing campaign performance with analysing how consumers are using our products.
My team covered a diverse range of ANZ clients; from challenger brands to established global businesses, in the travel, auto, insurance and alcohol categories. As a result, there was a range of goals for media campaigns, ranging from direct response to major brand building activations. I oversaw large scale sponsorships and event activations, which are immensely satisfying to see come together, as well as data-led projects in conjunction with internal analytics and performance teams.
During my time at Universal Music I oversaw digital media strategy, planning and implementation for all label releases on Island Records. Joining as the third member of a new internal media team, I believe I helped shape their processes and onboard a considerable number of media owners from existing relationships. The role required deep understanding of social and performance based platforms, as well as audience data segmentation and management.
Throughout my experience at the7stars, I worked with major and independent record labels on a variety of releases. I planned across all media channels, and was responsible for the implementation and reporting of digital and social channels. During my tenure, I also worked the successful pitch for Warner Music Group, consolidating the account for the7stars.
