Purpose of the role:
To support and strengthen the activities of the Redtails/Pinktails Right Tracks program through partnerships and engagement with Central Australian sporting clubs to promote healthier social norms around use of alcohol and other drugs, violence and responsibility for actions as well as achieve the coordination and integration of primary health care services, education and training.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Lead and motivate community members (individuals and groups) for engagement in health, education, employment and leadership through the avenue of sport.
- Coordination and promotion of Congress services and programs to community members and leaders.
- Lead the development of relationships with sporting clubs throughout Central Australia.
- Coordination and recommendation for endorsement of a range of selected programs as part of Redtails/Pinktails criteria, including ADF programs, No More program, Batchelor Institute education programs, Karen Sheldon (Saltbush Employment) training programs, Congress training employment programs and Health checks.
- Implement, monitor and evaluate the Right Tracks program
- Collect, analyze and report data to assist in the evaluation of the program and to determine the effectiveness of the program.
- Link young people to their local health service with particular emphasis on health checks and the appropriate follow up support.
- Support the personal development of young people through Leadership, mentoring, education, training and employment opportunities and programs
- Plan, coordinate and manage the Redtails/Pinktails Right Tracks Program in line with Health promotion operation plan.
- Responsible for the supervision of direct reports.
- Deliver Health sessions through the Sporting codes of AFL, Netball, Softball, Basketball
- Support clubs in developing an Action Plan around targeted areas for a safer environment
- Deliver High Performance Leadership sessions based around Club culture (branding, behaviors, team rules)
- Planning and coordinating training sessions
- Building strong relationships with students
- Effective communication with parents, partners and school staff
- Planning of yearly camps, events and Term planners
- Student data collection and reporting
- Multi Media / Photography, using all aspects of media technology
- Academy maintenance and structure

- Managing the health and welfare/wellbeing of Clontarf participants by attending regular medical health checks

- Manage and oversee the smooth running of operation meetings

- Building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships
- Behavioral management/mentoring one on one
- Marketing the Clontarf Foundation and what the program does
- Assisting participants with employment strategies and initiatives
- Coordinate fundraisers and community volunteering for Clontarf participants
- Providing cultural awareness for staff members, external stakeholders and partners
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Under the guidance of the ASTP Government Business Manager, develop relationships with all tiers of Government and service providers working in Alice Springs town camp communities and to meet the ASTP objectives.
- Act as a link between the town camp community and the Australian Government.
- Meet with families, individuals and community groups about how they want the community to develop.
- Work with the GBM to increase the government’s knowledge and understanding of communities.
- Provide input and advice on correspondence, briefs and reports.
- Maintain regular communication and high levels of strategic engagement with Alice Springs town camp residents.
