I am a fully qualified Fitter and macheniest who is concientious, hard working and very experienced in many fields relating to industry. I am family orientated and am very proud of the relationships I have worked towards building across the Thales Benalla site. I enjoy manufacturing our products and the unique challenges they present, I am also an advocate for some of our products as i use them on a regular basis and can attest to there quality. I am lucky enough to have studied under some of the most professionel, knowledgeable and intelligent people and am looking forward to pass on some of the knowledge that has been passed to me.
In this position my job is to maintain large draw presses and associated componentry. I have worked in many areas of Small Arms Manufacturing and have competencies on most machines and operational knowledge on the Bullet line, Machine line, Paint line, Forge, PRF, HES, Packing and Large case line where i currently work, i have had the pleasure of assisting and training new and inexperienced team leaders, fitters and production employees as well as assisting Tech support and management to reach our goals as a team. i have experience on CNC lathe operations and automated systems. i have a vast knowledge of tooling and machine setup on these lines.
In this position i was focused on repair and maintenance on large hydraulic systems, repair and remanufacture of large hydraulic cylinders and manufacture of hoses and fittings. Customer service was a large part as well as ordering stock, communication with suppliers and customers and record keeping.
In this position my roll was to insure all plant was maintained to mine site specifications and all new plant met specific guidelines and safety specifications. I was also required to make components for echo sounding equipment, depth measuring equipment and specialised unique components required for the safe operation of large pumping stations in flammable gas areas. i learned welding techniques such as TIG, MIG and ARC on high pressure piping and structural componentry
Working as part of a large team refurbishing a factory roof that had collapsed. J.S.A and S.W.M.S where a large part as the environment was very hazardous, including working at heights and unstable footings.

In this position i was in charge of manufacturing all machined parts that operate fertilizer spreader bins including designing, manufacturing and testing what was at that time the first functioning spreader bin mounted to a Toyota land cruiser ute and is still operational. This utilized my ability to create engineering drafts and order material needed to complete these tasks.
In this position i preformed breakdown maintenance on production lines including large particle board presses, hydraulic circuits, computer controlled plant and large gear driven equipment. I also had several apprentices working under me. This also required 12 hour shift work, working solo as well as in a team enviroment.
In this position i completed my apprenticeship and obtained a certificate 3 in Engineering, Mechanical trade.
i also learned the finer points of tight tolerance machining and structural fabrication.
In this position I learned to diagnose mechanical issues as well as manufacture components and preform maintenance on a vast and complex production line
