Darryl is a seasoned SaaS Public Company Executive with a strong affinity for the property sector. Darryl boasts a comprehensive track record spanning the entire spectrum of business development and corporate finance, making a significant contribution to the stellar rise of Australia's premier cloud HR platform ELMO Software. He assisted in steering its workforce from fewer than 20 to an impressive tally of over 500 employees. Darryl's unwavering passion lies in the realm of sales excellence and the scaling of a high quality business, delivering resounding success for both the business and its valued customers.
Darryl's core objective at ELMO was to develop, evaluate and ensure efficient execution of ELMO's growth strategy in collaboration with the CEO and Executive team.
He played a critical role during ELMO's 2017/18 period of expansion by acting as project lead for ELMO's IPO, subsequent capital raisings, multiple acquisitions and eventual sale to private equity. Some responsibilities included:
- Project Managing IPO process (including Prospectus Drafting and being part of the Due Diligence Committee) and subsequent Capital Raises
- Transitioning business from private to public company
- Managing investor relation activities which involved annual reports, half yearly presentations, investor meetings and and various public media interviews (examples can be sent through upon request).
- Managing the M&A process from identifying and approaching potential M&A opportunities, negotiating a deal structure and managing consultants who performed the due diligence process.
- Led various internal transformation projects and recruitment of senior roles
As the first employee of a newly formed division focusing on B2C online training solutions, Darryl's role was to meet sales targets and assist in the divisions growth. He was responsible for designing sales and marketing material. Creating initiatives to generate growth i.e A successful B2B model. He was also responsible for hiring and training a team to support the high volume of telesales required.
