Accomplishments

    Project Accomplishments:

  • As-Built Completion Team @ Southern Program Alliance (SPA) for AWP2 (Bonbeach, Chelsea & Edithvale): Presented Alliance award for creating new systems/workflows for reviewing/updating redline drawings, resulting in successful submission of all As-Built drawings for AWP2 package (to client specification) before practical completion date. First Alliance to successfully finalise submission before practical completion.
  • Pavement Box Modelling Lead @ Eastern Freeway Burke to Tram Alliance (EBTA): Presented Alliance award for creating new Bentley Openroads design workflow to capture 3D pavement boxing, and grant direct insertion into Bentley iTwin model for review and clash detection checks from wider project. Method was so efficient that the pavement modelling for the entire Southern Package could be managed by my team of 4 designers.
  • University Accomplishments:

  • Top-5 Award RMIT EnGenius Showcase (2020): Recipient of top-5 project award in the Civil and Infrastructure Engineering category at the RMIT EnGenius Showcase 2020 (87 Projects submitted
  • Cumulative GPA : 4.0 / Honours 1st Class (2020) :Achieved a cumulative GPA of 4.0 and received Honours 1st Class for my Bachelors of Civil and Infrastructure degree at RMIT University
  • Personal Accomplishments:

  • New Zealand Music Festival Honours Band (2016): Received the honour to participate in the honours band at the New Zealand Music Festival 2016 (Bass Guiatar).

University Project Experience

Homogenization of Periodic Cable-Link Cell Structures using Pseudo-Membrane Method (02/2020 - 11/2020) :

  • Project Role : Team Leader
  • Project was awarded top-5 in the Civil and Infrastructure category at the RMIT EnGenius Showcase 2020 (87 projects submitted).
  • Responsible for management of project timeline, supervision of team members, communication with project supervisor, and compiling of research for RMIT EnGenius Showcase presentation. Proudest achievement as a team was overcoming the challenges of online collaboration during COVID-19 lockdown.
  • Applied Pseudo-membrane method to determine the equivalent analytical properties of two-dimensional lattice structures with periodic cable link unit cells and homogenize them into a continuum, with the elastic modulus, Poisson’s ratio and shear modulus expressed in terms of the material and geometry of the cables and bars in the unit cell.
  • Performed FEM analysis using Abaqus CAE to verify that the equivalent properties derived accurately described the elastic properties of the complex periodic cable-link lattice structures.
  • Final Grade: HD (High Distinction).

Co-Architectural Design Leader for Proposed Melbourne CBD High Rise Structure (02/2020 - 06/2020):

  • Project Role : Co-Architectural Design Leader of Symbio Towers (Design by David Bueker and Adam Iacobaccio)
  • Developed a conceptual architectural design of a proposed 60 story, mixed occupancy high-rise building. Included research into project context and similar existing buildings, an insight into the development of architectural concept, a quantitative and qualitative explanation of floor usage.
  • Communication of the design through interactive BIM models, rendered external and internal models, rendered flythrough of interior spaces, and architectural 2D floor plans. Designed in accordance with relevant Australian Standards.
  • A parametric model of the exterior building design and floor layouts was created using Rhino 6, in combination with the plugin Grasshopper, to enhance collaboration with the lateral and gravity design teams and increase project efficiency.
  • Final façade and interior spaces designed using Autodesk Revit. Additionally, interactive BIM model, high quality external and interior renders, and internal flythroughs generated using Autodesk Revit.
  • Final Grade: HD (High Distinction)
