20 years in the Australian Army Band Corps as a professional musician. Qualifications earned in piano technology at the Northern Metropolitan College of TAFE Preston. The two year full time course covered grand and upright piano tuning, regulation, major and minor repairs, restoration and a myriad of other subjects including woodwork, metal work, business studies and acoustics.
Whilst at NMCOT David was fortunate to be able to study new piano manufacture with hands on experience under Wayne Stuart the creator of the Stuart Piano.
He is also a member of the Piano Tuner and Technicians Guild Victoria and is a Yamaha Authorised Service Agent (116).
David is the piano tuner of choice for many educational institutions that have a specialist music stream here in Melbourne.

The PLAN B Big Band is a community based band in the City of Whitehorse, Melbourne, Australia. The members are a very dedicated and talented bunch of musicians from all over Melbourne, Australia. The band performs regularly at private and public events playing mainly the big band music of today. The band regularly features its own soloists and vocalists as well as guest artists. To listen to the band performing live at their own jazz night and at Dizzy's Jazz Club go to youtube and enter the name of the band. There are many charts there from Glenn Miller and Cam McAllister to Gordon Goodwin and Ed Wilson.
