Being a Fully Qualified Builder for close to 30 years and having worked for myself for approximately 25 of those. I have built numerous homes, many renovations and all general building tasks. For the 5 years, I was employed at The University of Tasmania, Student Services Dept. This is were I was heavily involved in their Student Housing Scheme. Managing daily tasks of their housing maintenance of the 167 rental properties. These were from the private sector, University owned and other managed properties. Daily tasks included, prioritise maintenance requests, completing inspections, liaising with sub contractors, meeting with senior management, organise projected maintenance requirements for both building and ground works. After hours emergency call out services.
In general, I am a happy and healthy 53 year old. Having two adult daughters and now 3 grandchildren. Both daughters have pursued degree related careers, ( a nursing and an animal and wildlife science ) and are now enjoying being stay at home Mums for the first part of their children's lives.
I have always enjoyed the Building industry and how it has progressed over the years. The outdoors is a favourite place of mine, either up a mountain trail running or being in the ocean. Walking our Kelpie who has decided at 10 years old she would rather stay on the couch than came for a run these days.
I enjoy encouraging others to be and do their best and the direction they can take from doing this. I also have certificates in mindfulness for adults and children at risk, personal training, coaching and Health and wellness coaching.
