Summary

I am a skilled child Counsellor focusing on helping young and adolescent clients overcome their personal challenges, and cope with triggering situations through the use of mindfulness. I believe in enabling my clients exploration of their issues, developing individualized plans and developing life skills.

I have experience with a range of therapeutic techniques allowing me to adapt my approach to the one most suited to my client's temperament, learning style and needs, enhancing client-focused care. As a counsellor I have a solid knowledge of crisis intervention and individualised treatment planning, ensuring effective support for diverse client needs.

I have often facilitated anger management groups for both adults and children and written group courses for child anxiety, and anger management. I have put forward proposals for other courses to aid children and adolescents who are on the autism spectrum, have been diagnosed with learning needs or have suffered through trauma.
