  • My role was the supervision and leading of a project team of FIFO IT mobility support staff onsite at all Rio Tinto iron ore mine sites in the Pilbara area of WA
  • This is a project centred around L2 and above support for the use of tablet devices by Rio personnel at all levels of operations
  • The project will be successfully delivered and completed Dec 24 having exceeded all targets and expectations
  • The duties of the role included:
  • Supervising, delegation and leading a team of IT mobility support staff including safety
  • Management of team FIFO rosters
  • Managing client/stakeholder relationships and expectations
  • Proactively addressing challenges facing clients and developing solutions
  • Direct liaison senior onsite clients (first point of contact)
  • Ensuring all support procedures are adhered to including ticketing traceability and manage prioritsation
  • Assist with development of appropriate support documentation
  • Ensure existing IT Support onsite (non-mobility team) are upskilled to assist ongoing and in future as the project progresses

  • My role was involvement in an approx $350m project to upgrade resident security for BHP via new online doors and RFID lock systems in all BHP mine camps in the NW, including new CCTV security camera systems
  • I was on a 2:1 roster
  • Configuration of hardware via WAP
  • Programming of RFID locks
  • Software used includes: Rukus iOT Controller, Sysmon, LockService 3G and CCMS recording
  • Maintain and complete all lock commissioning records for BHP
  • Direct liaison with install contractors (first point of contact)
  • Ensure commissioning procedures completed and attend BHP handover on regular installation completion (twice weekly)
  • Windows 7, 10 & 11 support as required
  • Adhoc IT duties as requested
