  • At the beginning of covid 2020 I was asked to step up and supervise team 1 tyres a crew of appx 24 fte and contractors through the 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off period of about 3 months and then continued for another 3 months while the supervisor of team 1 was stuck in qld
  • This was a big honor for me and has really given me the confidence and skills to lead a team well
  • Developed a maintenance strategy that saved site $300,000.00 at our MEM oil water separate that has stopped the overflow of hydrocarbons previously we were having weekly overflow events which were causing environment incidents and concerns to where we have not had an overflow event for 6 months to date
  • Exceeded expectations in performance reviews by delivering upon KPI’s for safety interaction & Make a Difference/Make It Count program per month whilst maintaining a high standard of supervision
  • Introduced a more suitable tyre for site CAT Truck fleet, increasing site tyre life (on average) by more than 500 hours per tyre whilst reducing the Marandoo Mine sites’ tyre budget for the CAT fleet more than $1,000,000
  • Successfully lead the Marandoo Otraco team, promoting a safe culture, achieving 5 years LTI free
  • Actively assisted in reducing hydrocarbon waste via implemented improvements & efficiency of Marandoo Mine sites oil/ water separator and machine wash pad
  • Maintained key stakeholder duties in contractor management for my department, assisting & promoting a safety reset with (including but not limited to) Toxfree, B&M & Wren Oil contractors on site, thus raising the standard of integrity and safety culture, within themselves & their relationship with Rio Tinto.
