Work History

Senior Advisor - Operations Support (Substantive)

The Water Corporation
04.2016 - Current
  • In my substantive role within the Water Corporation, I develop business processes and work practices to support the use of technology in the field, including business and DSP support for Work Execution, Field Maps, Outage Management and various other applications. I develop training material and conduct training sessions on all these applications, particularly recently with the development of the Facilitators Training Guide to support the CIS network with the onboarding of new staff. I also develop and review any supporting documentation and video content to support the successful completion of work assignment feedback.
  • I regularly travel throughout the regions to support the CIS network. I attend DRM’s and complete field observations with crews to provide additional support for field crews. I also attend section meetings, planning/commitment meetings and various other team gatherings to provide support in the DSP. I use various forms of technology to support my time management, including the full Microsoft office suite including planner and Outlook, OneNote, Webex, and Nexus. I also have completed User Acceptance Testing and proficient in using Service Now and JIRA.

Specialist - Operations Performance (Acting)

The Water Corporation
08.2020 - 09.2022
  • In my acting role, I supported and mentored staff in optimising processes and practices in accordance to the Deliver Service Process (DSP) with a particular focus on SAP Plant Maintenance (PM), Mobile Computing Solutions (MCS) and Outage Management. I coached, mentored and facilitated training in each of these applications and represent the DSP in multiple change management meetings with the Information and Technology Group (ITG) and as a Business Process Representative for SAP PM and MCS to translate stakeholders needs into application enhancements. I work closely with the Coordinator – Information Systems (CIS) network to ensure that business improvements and changes are communicated and have represented the DSP in CIS Forums and fortnightly meetings. I look for innovative solutions to overcome operational obstacles and as such I have worked closely with projects such as Android Enterprise and Work Management as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
  • During the Work Management Project, I worked as SME for Work Execution and Field Maps. I developed the business requirements for both products in conjunction with the applications end users and liaised with the relevant teams to develop these into business solutions. I developed training materials, including quick reference sheets, video content and ran information sessions as part of the Virtual Roadshow to inform users of progress in the project and how that directly affects them. I completed user acceptance testing, logged bugs, defects and enhancements in JIRA and worked closely with the development teams.
  • I was part of the 1.4 and 1.4b Roll Outs for the Work Execution Project and led the team in the South West. During this roll out I complied with all local COVID-19 requirements, attended Daily Review Meetings, and completed field observations with crews to ensure a successful roll out. I continue this practice in my substantive roll as part of my business as usual, attending both Balcatta and Canning Vale depots as well as Geraldton depot.

Data Analyst

The Water Corporation
03.2008 - 04.2016
  • In my previous role within the Water Corporation, I was responsible for the analysis and interpretation of data relating to operational performance; the identification of potential problems and trends; ensure the integrity of operational data and provide short term predictive advice on operational trends. This was achieved through the development of daily, weekly, fortnightly, and monthly reports, as well as ad hoc reporting where required. I ensured that all these processes were completed within required timeframes and to the specifications of the end-user.
  • As a result, I have considerable experience with many corporate applications, including (but not limited to) SCADA, SAP (PM & BW), Grange, OMS and I was the Operations Centre WaterNet Administrator. Additionally, I assisted in application development and process improvement based on end-user interactions, including User Acceptance Testing. I developed and maintained processes, identifying where new technologies may assist and record process improvements. I developed work instructions and provided training for users where required.

Technical Support Officer (TSO)

The Water Corporation
