I have 19 years of experience in the funds management industry in Australia. During this time, my career has developed within an innovative environment of a boutique fund manager, Australia’s largest Investment Bank – Macquarie Bank (ASX:MQG) and presently at PIMCO. The experience that I have gained has provided me with an accelerated personal growth path which has encompassed international investment exposure and capital raising activities across markets and asset classes. I possess a strong understanding of the sales process within the Australian wealth management landscape. This is supplemented by my technical understanding of investment markets across a number of asset classes. However, it is my ability to communicate messages in a manner which is appropriate for the audience, which has allowed me to build rapport and trust across a broad cross section of clients (namely, advisers, CIOs, family office clients, research houses and asset consultants). This has laid the foundation for my success in acquiring, growing and retaining business over an extended period time.

  • Joined PIMCO as a part of PIMCO’s strategic initiative to internalise its distribution responsibilities in the Australian wealth management market in 2015. Since this time, I have been a key member of the team, which has facilitated my promotion within the business to my current role as Head of Wealth Management – Australia. I also lead the Private Client Group which focuses on developing and strengthening our relationships with high value and strategic distributor relationships with national global and local private banks, independent wealth groups, family offices, asset consultant and research relationships with a primary focus on growing PIMCO’s private market investment solutions focused on asset-based finance with these clients.


Responsibilities & Achievements


  • Responsible for building out and executing the national sales strategy to grow PIMCO’s market share within the Australian wealth management market. Steadfast focus on delivering results with a profit focused mentality which has seen the business triple client assets and quadruple run rate revenue.
  • Primary focus on raising assets within PIMCO’s private market investment solutions focused on asset-based finance with key distributor relationships nationally across global and local private banks, independent wealth groups, family offices (single and multi-family). Led the successful onboarding and asset-raising from these clients into PIMCO’s private market investment solutions (across a range of fund structures) which has seen revenue contribution into private markets grow to >30% of PIMCO’s Australian wealth management business.
  • Responsible for managing and cultivating key client responsibilities across all facets of the private wealth management market to drive sales strategy and asset-raising within PIMCO’s private market investment solutions. Engage with CIO’s, Head of Research/Private Markets, key influential advisers across global/local private banks, independent wealth groups and family offices. Strong top-down and bottom-up relationships which has enabled the successful onboarding and asset raise into PIMCO’s private market solutions across both offshore and local structured (AUD hedged, evergreen) offerings.
  • Responsible for leading the relationship with rating agencies for PIMCO’s evergreen private market solutions. Adept at managing internal and cross-border stakeholder relationships to achieve successful outcomes which have enabled the successful rating of PIMCO’s private market investment solutions.
  • Am the alternatives and private markets expert within PIMCO’s Australian wealth management team across our private market investment solutions, with a specific focus on asset-based finance. Present at industry conferences, client events, due diligence sessions with respect to private markets education and PIMCO’s private market investment solutions.
  • Work in close partnership with offshore (US and APAC) colleagues and teams to devise a co-ordinated approach to expanding PIMCO’s alternatives exposure with the Australian wealth management market. Developed a strong understanding of private market fund structuring needed to drive scale in the Australian wealth market and peer analysis to position PIMCO’s private market solutions.
