Summary

With not only spending my entire adult life and career in the transport industry, but also my childhood and family life in trucks, it is something I have a huge passion for. The industry and experiences have made me grow into the dynamic managing and operator skills I have today, excelling in project management and logistics planning. Proven track record in leading teams to deliver complex heavy haulage projects on time and incident-free. I have a long career left in front of me, and I look forward to the future ventures.

Work History

Platform Operator

Brutum Logistics
Perth, WA
01.2025 - Current
  • Pronominally operating 10 and 11 row Drake platforms, moving mining machines and equipment. In between platform jobs, I would also operate 100-tonners, 50-tonners, and road trains (general freight).

MC Driver

Newman Low loaders
Perth, WA
01.2024 - 03.2025
  • I was employed by Newman Low Loaders as an MC Driver, predominantly operating Drake 50T floats, as well as MTE 75T floats. A large part of the role was also towing double and triple road trains throughout the Pilbara. Work variety included a wide range of time-critical general freight and project-based work.

Operations Manager

Newman Low loaders
Perth, WA
03.2024 - 12.2024
  • As the Perth operations manager, I managed all day-to-day operations in and out of the Perth depot for both general freight and heavy haulage. The role included quoting, scheduling freight movements, fatigue management, scheduling maintenance, and also direct interaction with clients. The role included being on call 24/7 to assist drivers. I would often go out on site when there were large volume moves i.e. crane relocations to manage from the ground.

Transport Supervisor /Senior Project Manager

WA Specialised Transport
Perth, WA
10.2023 - 01.2024
  • I was employed on a project-based job by WA Specialised Transport, assisting Rex Andrews Heavy Haulage on their wind farm project from the port of Geraldton to Kathleen Valley. In the beginning, my role was only to coordinate the WA Specialised movements; however, after building quick relationships with the Rex Andrews team, the role grew to include looking after all project movements, including pilots, wardens, trailermen/steerers, traffic management, and other government divisions. The project was delivered on time and incident-free.

MC Driver

Lucken's Transport
Mingenew, WA
01.2023 - 09.2023
  • Growing up around trucks all my life, I had a strong interest in cattle carting. An opportunity was offered to me to have a go at it. The role was based on carting six decks of cattle out of the Pilbara and back into Perth and Moora. In between the odd gaps of cattle carting, I would tow road trains and C trains of lime and grain.

Ultra Heavy Haulage Supervisor

Matic Transport
Perth, WA
01.2021 - 12.2022
  • I had been doing Rio Tinto-based heavy haulage work for nearly 10 years with other heavy haulage companies. Matic Transport had recently been awarded the heavy haulage contract, while I had already been doing it with Toll Heavy Haulage. Toll had just announced they were closing heavy haulage Australia-wide, and Matic had approached me to assist in building up their nearly awarded contract. My role was Ultra Heavy Haulage Supervisor; at first, this consisted of building the business up from next to nothing. This then meant locating and acquiring equipment, and then a team. The role was closely working with RIO TINTO planners on coordinating all heavy haulage movements, not only throughout the Pilbara, but also in and out of the Perth region. My day-to-day tasks would consist of daily meetings with the Rio Tinto and Matic teams, which would then lead to scheduling upcoming moves and applying for relevant main roads and power permits. Maintenance for the move would be scheduled, and any team training required would be done.

Platform Operator

Toll Heavy Haulage
Perth, WA
01.2015 - 01.2021
  • I started my employment with Toll Heavy Haulage in January 2015. This was a new venture for Toll, moving into this field of work. My role was operating a Drake 13-row platform and 260T-rated Western Star. The scope of work differed a lot from the mining industry to oil and gas, to day-to-day machine movements. A lot of my time was spent in the Pilbara completing Rio Tinto jobs. My role was very self-managing, maintenance, and fatigue, and I would spend months away at any one time.
