Company Overview: This Professorship is a real honour both on a professional and personal level. This involves the provision of specialised strategic advice to the Vice-Chancellor and his Executive Council; referring on my extensive experience in major urban transformation projects, project procurement and delivery to bring significant value to the Faculty education programs. 2017 – 2018: Chair and Member of the Ministerial Experts Advisory Group on Welfare Payments Infrastructure Transformation (WPIT), the largest Technology enabled Transformation Programme in Australian Government History;
2017 – 2019: Strategic Advisor to the Secretary Department of Human Services on WPIT as well as development and implementation of the DHS Strategic Plan;
2018 – 2020: Chair of Programme Control Board for WPIT (the ultimate Oversight Body for the Programme);

Currently Reviewer of the structure, thrust and efficiency of the Department of Defence Annual Report to Parliament on the Defence Major Programmes Portfolio;
Currently a Member of the Defence Independent Assessment Review Board which oversees the Defence Major Programmes Portfolio;
Currently undertaking a complete Review of the Capability, Capacities and genuine Experience in Programme/ Project Leadership held by Programme Senior Responsible Officials (SRO’s);

Company Overview: UrbanGrowth NSW is a ‘purpose built’ Statutory Corporation (2013) charged with the urban transformation of Western and Metropolitan Sydney. The Corporation is charged with the delivery of the Major Urban Transformation Portfolio, which consists of the largest urban regenerations in Australia, at least two of which are of the highest potential in the world. These are the Bays Precinct, Sydney Transformation and Central to Eveleigh Rail Corridor Transformation. These transformation Projects go way beyond urban renewal and regeneration. Such undertakings as the Bays Precinct Sydney will transform Sydney Harbour and Sydney overall and drive the international competitiveness of Sydney, NSW and the Nation.

Company Overview: The Major Projects Authority UK was established by me, on the direction of the British Government, in November 2009 to revolutionise and generate an entirely new project leadership regime to enable successful delivery of Government funded Major Projects. At the request of the UK Government, I designed, implemented and developed the Major Projects Authority in the UK to introduce genuine Project Portfolio Management and for the first time a Control and Oversight function across all Government Projects. The Major Projects Authority UK Portfolio consisted of 212 Projects with a whole of Portfolio cost in excess of £800 billion.
CONCURRENT ROLE:
Head of Profession Project Management for the UK Government
Founder and Sponsor of the Major Projects Leadership Academy (MPLA) at the Saïd Oxford Business School at Oxford University (UK). This initiative was unique in 2010 and was devised to overtake the huge capability gap in the UK Civil Service and has changed remarkably the overall Project leadership performance across the British Civil Service.

Chief Executive Universal Credit UK – (Prime Minister’s Commission)
Universal Credit UK is the largest single overhaul of an entire government welfare and benefit system anywhere in the world and by far the most ambitious reform in the history of the UK.
The Project failed January 2013 and the UK Cabinet instructed me to take over the Project, resurrect it and return it to feasibility.

Company Overview: As a dedicated Development Company of the Nakheel Corporation, Palm Jumeirah was charged with the largest land reclamation Project in the World. The ambition was to create a world-class, global city literally from the sea and establish Palm Jumeirah as the greatest destination in the Middle East with 6 million visitors annually and 200,000 new residents. The project cost was in excess of $US10 Billion with a development site which measured 5 kilometres by 8 kilometres.

These interventions included significant city contributions to Major Projects such as Melbourne Docklands; The Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre and the Flinders Street Restoration Project and the construction of Council House 2 located at 240 Little Collins Street in the Central Business District of Melbourne; the first six Green Star Building in the world.
