David Slagter

My time with Dodge Civil Contracting, I worked on Cross River Rail in Brisbane City doing civil earthworks. Some things that are required of me is as follows:

• Loading and unloading heavy objects, dirt and other materials on-site.
• Digging ditches and trenches using an excavator.
• Spreading material with a Pozi Track.
• Driving construction equipment to excavate and grade land on road beds.
• Adhered to strict safety requirements for digging, machine operation and personal behaviour.

During my time working with NDP Fencing and Contracting, some of my role included:

• Leading hand for Fencing and Orchard Development crews. Making sure all members of the crew were upholding health and safety to the highest level and following all instructions.
• Hand digging post holes as well as using a Tractor and Rammer.
• Chainsaw work.
• Excavator Operating.
• Scrub clearing.

In this position with Roydhouse Pest Management, some of my work included the following:

• Deployed physical baits, glue boards, and traps to catch and eliminate pests.
• Used two wheel motorbikes to travel on farm land to hunt and trap pests.
• Airlifted via helicopter into the Kaweka Ranges in Hawke's Bay for pest control.
• Upheld tickets for poison handling as we used Cyanide.

During my time working for Dodge Contracting in New Zealand as a labourer, my job included some of the following:

• Building retaining walls.
• Building Pole Sheds.
• Operating rollers.
• Shovel and rake work.
• Concreting.
• Installing farm tracks.
• Tree felling.
