Working for Tradelink Penrith delivering plumbing supplies to building sites and plumbing businesses around Sydney and Sydney Metro and the Blue Mountains.

Doing deliveries of Electronic products to Businesses and houses around Sydney and Sydney Metro and the Central Coast and Newcastle and South Coast and Canberra.n

Doing deliveries of pallets of food products to Distribution Centres for Woolworths, Coles, Franklins, IGA, and doing pick ups in the afternoon and taking the products back to the Warehouse at Minchinbury.

Picking up the truck from Watanobie on the Central Coast and going down to Wetherill Park in Sydney picking up new furniture and loading the truck and making sure that the load is properly tied down and is safe from damage and travelling back up to the Central Coast and Newcastle delivering new furniture to houses and businesses and installing of new furniture at the houses and dropping off the furniture to businesses.

Stacking pallets and rollcages with food products and taking them to the designated isle and scanning the tags so they can be delivered to the correct store and some times after lunch or before lunch I would get called in to load the trailers and make sure the load is correct and strapped up properly.

Delivering gas cylinders to houses and businesses and doing some repairs to the connections and checking them for leaks, and making sure that there are no leaks in the piping system, and doing deliveries around Sydney and Sydney Metro to houses and I ended up moving to the Central Coast and worked for Elgas at Gosford.

Overhead Crane driving in the warehouse unloading trucks and loading trucks with steel coils and putting them in the isle so they can be processed and then be moved to the cutting machine and cut to size.

Answering phones and taking orders for the customers and cutting the material to size and operating an Overhead Crane to unload the trucks and moving the steel around the warehouse.

Operating overhead crane to unload trucks when they come to the warehouse and doing general labouring duties around the warehouse and using a metal lathe to cut steel and sometimes I would use a CNC machine cutting steel to the right size and putting them into boxes for the customers to pick up.

Operating an Overhead Crane in the Warehouse moving electric motors and compressers for rebuilds and doing general labouring duties cleaning parts and giving them to the tradesman to check for faults so they can repair the faulty part.

Doing general labouring duties around the site and helping the tradesman erecting frames and trusses and strapping them together with steel straps and being an offsider for the semi trailer driver delivering the frames and trusses to new building sites and helping unload the truck, I was promised an apprenticeship as a carpenter but at the start of January 1981 they went into receivership and I didn't get my apprenticeship.
