Since 2008, I have been an active chorister and Lay Clerk at St George’s Cathedral in Perth, complementing a rich performance history with ensembles such as the St George’s Cathedral & College Consort, Giovanni Consort, HIP Company, Perth Symphonic Chorus, Winthrop Singers, and the Newby Blues. I developed a passion for choral conducting began during my time with the Winthrop Singers and at St George’s College, studying under Christophe Karas and Dr Nicholas Bannan, eventually leading to my appointment as Director of Music at St George’s College. In this role, I conducted major works including Mozart’s Requiem, Handel’s Dixit Dominus, Bach’s Christ lag in Todesbanden, and Buxtehude’s Membra Jesu Nostri, and curated programs ranging from Gesualdo’s Tenebrae Responsories to contemporary repertoire, working with choirs of all voice types, age groups, and stylistic focuses over the past five years.
I was asked to give the Valedictorian address at my graduation in front of the Arts,
Law, and Music faculties.
