- Manage the human resources, budgets and operations for the Environmental Health section of Council.
- Oversight the activities of Councils Animal Control Officer and the relief staff in this busy area of Animal Control. Management tasks centre on time management between the day to day complaint investigation and the progress of more proactive strategies such as the door to door dog registration survey, and the longer-term pound replacement project.

- Ensure resources are available to maximise the participation rate for the domestic kerbside waste collection (3850 households) and kerbside recycling service (over 600 businesses / households).
- Prepare and issue out under Officer signature such licences, registrations and other correspondences allied with the Environmental Health, Animal Control, Pest Management and Stock Routes Management functions.
