  • Conducting detailed pre-flight research in support of potential visa application cases using different departmental systems such as ICSE, MAINFRAME, PRISMS, BRIS, and RefPro.
  • Conduct secondary immigration clearance for incoming and outgoing passengers, including determining their immigration status, such as Australian citizens arriving without or on foreign passports, overstay, and breach of visa conditions. Advise on resident return visas for passengers traveling on emergency ICAO documents.

  • Risk assess passenger in order to grant, refuse, or cancel visas at the border in accordance with legislation and policy.
  • Assess eligibility of non-citizens for visas, such as SPV, ETA, and Border Visa, to facilitate legitimate travel.
  • Conduct and assist team in BCNC assessments to refuse or allow entries. Conduct and assist team in passengers' Bonafide assessments.

  • Conducting visa cancellation of non-citizens using appropriate grounds, including non-citizen travellers who may pose an unacceptable risk to the community.
