• Responsible for all electrical maintenance and upgrades of a 300 bed nursing home and 3 retirement villages for the last 10 years. Working in the aged care sector has helped develop a high level of customer service and interpersonal skills. Always conforming with evolving regulations.
• Managed the electrical maintenance and compliance for the central coast region of HammondCare.
• The electrical maintenance and repairs of over 1500 rental properties through multiple real estate.
• Employed and provided training for multiple apprentices
• The work has included planning preventative maintenance, fault finding, repairs and installation of commercial kitchen equipment, shutdowns, organising sub-contractors, estimating, distribution board upgrades, renovations and ensuring all installations comply with the relevant Australian standards
• Contracted to Coast Marine for the installation of 240V wiring, inverters, protection, DC cabling and battery systems, electronic equipment, fault finding, shore power repairs, and workshop upgrades
• More recently contracted to The NSW Port Authority to assist in various repairs and installations on the marine assets.
• By running a small business I have learnt the value of time management and have been responsible for all book keeping, BAS, wages, quoting, invoices and accounts.

Since beginning my apprenticeship in 2002 with Downer group, I gained a wide range of experience and knowledge in all aspects of my trade, working in many different industrial and commercial environments. I also had the opportunity to work on many large FIFO / DIDO projects. I took on various leadership roles, ensuring safety and quality of work at all times.

• Installation of cable protection ie; cable tray / pits and conduits
• Installation and termination of switchboards and associated equipment
• Construction of conveyer systems
• Installation of HV equipment in sub-stations
• Interpretation of schematic diagrams

• Installation and commissioning of DC battery systems
• Preventative maintenance
• Installation of explosion proof equipment in mining applications
• Liaise with client and other contractors
• Work under various permit requirements
• Estimation
• Installation and compliance checks of intrinsically safe equipment in explosive environments
• Supervision of 15 + tradesmen
• Development and implementation of safe work method statements
