A mental health professional with over 30 years experience, including provision of direct clinical services, operational management, strategic and project coordination.
Conduct interviews, complete assessments, prepare court documents, liaise with other Government and Non Government Organisations.
Make recommendations aligning with legislative and procedural frameworks, including the Human Rights Act 2019- QLD
Completion of 12 Week Student Placement
Provide evidenced based counselling interventions to current and past Defence Serving members, and their families.
Co-response with NSW Police for acute mental health crises.
Conduct Mental Health assessment, complete documentation and facilitate appropriate care.
Promote mental health awareness amongst police and other emergency service staff.
Support colleagues, including debriefing
Lead the operationalisation of the Central Coast While Family Team Pilot, including team leadership, program evaluation and strategic collaboration with education and child protection.
Advanced clinical skills, across mental health, drug and alcohol and child protection settings
High level of competency in mental health assessment and care planning
Experience working in remote communities with first nations people, and within multicultural communities
Ability to work in complex and stressful environments, such Emergency Departments and First response
Adapt at clinical interventions, including crisis intervention, acute care, individual interventions utilising CBT and EMDR
Act as a resource person, providing clinical practice support to other staff
Liaise and work collaboratively with community partners
Member of the NSLHD Disaster Response Team
