My name is Deb, l am 47 years old.
I am a mum of 2 kids, my son Brody is 20 and my daughter Ally is 15.
I have worked for Grampians Health previously known as Ballarat Health Services for 27 years as a Dental nurse and a receptionist.
My main aim while nursing was to comfort and support my patients in any way they needed, i worked with the school dental service for most of my nursing career while we moved around the schools in dental vans.
My job now as a receptionist includes day to day reception duties such as patient care, phone calls and bookings.
My extended responsibilities are booking general anesthetics for our patients that are too young to be treated in the dental chair.
I also work close with Smiles for Miles by organising dental participation for the kindergartens in Ballarat and surrounding areas.
I have recently taken on being the administration officer for Smile Squad that has been introduced to all government schools this year.
I enjoy working with people and working with the public on a day to day basis.
I am a people person and l enjoy being around others and working in a team.
I am looking for something different in my life and love the idea of being able to help in a different area other than dental.
I am a friendly, happy go lucky person and easy to get along with.
I put others before myself and give my all to what is at hand.
I am approachable and will give anything a go.
