In-depth knowledge of ship handling and piloting of marine crafts. Safely berthing and unberthing of the vessel with the coordination of marine crew and harbor crafts. Experienced in dealing with vessel agents, port operators, and other interested parties in relation to the vessels' movement in and out of the port. Adequate skills to operate and monitor communication equipment. Good working knowledge in monitoring and regulating marine traffic in accordance with local and international requirements. Leadership skills and a positive attitude towards the achievement of company goals. Self-motivated and able to work independently. Attentive and goal-focused, brings a successful approach to cultivating complex best practices to meet organizational and regulatory expectations. Detail-oriented focus on achieving expected outcomes. Enthusiastic hard worker with expertise in cultivating lucrative client relationships and implementing better processes and procedures.

Team leadership - Lead and manage a professional team dedicated to Coastal Pilotage and Vessel Traffic Services compliance, while fostering a continuous improvement culture.

Compliance - ensure compliance with Marine Order 54 and Marine Order 64.

Policy implementation - establish and enforce Coastal Pilotage and Vessel Traffic Services Standards and procedures.

Stakeholder engagement - oversee relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including Vessel Traffic Service providers, pilotage service providers, pilots, and industry bodies.

Risk Management - the assessment of hazards and controls to risks associated with safe navigation through the compulsory pilotage areas, and the consideration of additional risk mitigation strategies.
