  • Company Overview: Community Services (CS) is a division of the Department of Communities and Justice. The CS Division delivers services to some of the most disadvantaged individuals, families and communities in NSW. DCJ enables or assists vulnerable people to participate fully in social and economic life and build stronger, more sustainable inclusive communities.
  • The role provides region based strategic and business planning, monitoring, evaluation, consultative and specialist advice across a range of predominantly NGO funded services, that ensures the region has an appropriate service matrix which targets and delivers quality services in the most effective and efficient manner to clients.
  • The position manages specialist Network office staff and currently administers a regional funding budget > 100million dollars.
  • Managed and successfully implemented large scale reforms in Out of Home Care transition, Community Services Grants Program (CSGP) reform, a raft of homelessness service reforms and roll out of the Brighter Futures program.
  • Managed contentious service funding issues effectively as acknowledged and recognised by the then Strategy and Governance Senior officers’ group at Central office as a best practice model.
