
As an Operational HAZMAT Station Officer I have always based my leadership on the simple principle of
“Treat others as you wish to be treated” which aligns well with the Fire and Rescue New South Wales (FRNSW) core values of Respect, Integrity, Service and Courage. In my experience, adhering to these principles creates a team cohesion that value adds to the outcome of any challenge.
Having been promoted to Station Officer in Aug 2021, I ensure that the expectations and obligations to our stakeholders are met. I thrive in an environment where I can help manage and develop people to be the best they can be, whilst supporting the dynamic rostering, resourcing and allocation of materials that support all stakeholders to work together to achieve common goals.
I believe I am a well experienced and uniquely qualified with a diverse background in frontline Emergency response. Strong communication skills, proven leadership and teamwork have led to my extensive achievements in firefighting operations, delivering training and as a Paratrooper in the Australian Regular Army.
I have a demonstrated history of continual professional development in key areas of Emergency Management and enjoy the opportunity to share and embed these skills into my roles.
