As the Advisor (HR), My responsibility is to consult with and provide high level strategic advice that is tactical and timely to a range of stakeholders to support workforce management matters and routine operations that align with legislation, directives, and internal protocols for TransLink Division.

  • Partner with the PRS HR team to support and assist in the delivery of human resource management activities.
  • Monitor HR practices to ensure compliance with departmental requirements and contribute to the development of HR procedures and practices.
  • Assist with the preparation of correspondence, forms, briefing notes and submissions relating to HR management.
  • Monitor the HR workforce reporting, including confidential salary reporting on a fortnightly and quarterly basis.
  • Knowledge of the TransLink Recruitment and Selection protocols and HR delegations.
  • Responsible for end-to-end recruitment (internal and external).
  • Acknowledgement of obligations and Probity declarations and requirements.
  • Understanding of remuneration and EBA/Award agreements and conditions.
  • Contribute to the PRS HR Management system on Microsoft Team platform with HR and Branch initiative programs to store all HR functions in a systematic way to promote integrity in the management and use of processes and resources to support the PRS Branch and align with TransLink's processes and procedures.
  • Utilise the HR Action Tracking system to manage and monitor PCG reports, Recruitment and Selection, leave reports, On-Boarding & Exiting, Relieving & Secondments, Position Create Changes, Payroll Establishment Issues to ensure HR governance compliance is met within TMR legislation and policy frameworks to guide everyday practice.
  • Participate and promote positive branch culture and develop PRS HR branding and with the wider PRS committees and working groups for a range of workforce management projects.
  • Proactively work with team to ensure accurate and consistent HR advice and support is provided to the division. A standard level of service is to be maintained during core business hours.
  • Contribute to developing and implementing strategic branch-wide initiatives that support our business improvement priorities by attending health and safety wellbeing and admin support meetings to collaborate with the team on strategizing positive change and best practice and support the branch to ensure we all create a positive outcome.
  • Contribute to the development of partnerships and collaborative alignments with significant stakeholders internal and external to the department.
  • Tackle and address top-level, high-priority issues by professional administrative discretion.

  • Independently managed a total of 290 contract workers whilst going through a Transition Phase with Brisbane City Council. Which was exclusive to Randstad and provided me with a promotion to manage the largest decision and branch structure. This played a key role in ensuring the contract review and extension which was successfully approved prior to my departure with the company.
