Exploring Cinema introduces films from varying time eras, each with their own distinct stories and genre, and ends off with eye-opening conversations about how elements in film are used to create meaning. These conversations brings to the table perspectives that are challenged and questioned.

• Guided guests to exits and offered direct assistance in case of emergency.
• Assisted patrons by giving directions to areas inside or outside venue.
• Greeted guests, scanned tickets upon entry, answered guest questions and helped with seat location.
• Assisted with keeping venue safe, clean and presentable for guests.

• The role of a subject support student is to reach out to students asking for additional help after school in specific subjects. This role personally improved my academic performance consecutively due to the constant exposure to subjects I consider vastly heavy in content, however my interest and passion to do better every time I study them is complementing my role in this school.

The South Asian community of United World College Maastricht embodies all the members (staff and students) of the college who identify themselves as part of the South Asian sub-continent. The community ensures to break the stigmas and stereotypes existing in our society about our culture and identity, and also hosts several key events to celebrate with the entire school community and show people what our community truly stands out for!

• Celebrated Holi, Diwali, Eid, Christmas and many more festivals in the years 2021, 2022 and 2023, further assuring the entire school got to celebrate these festivals from a perspective of our regions

The role of a first aid and fire safety respondent in the residences of United World College Maastricht makes sure that:

• Residentials are properly evacuated, without any ambiguity and violent acts of panic and confusion
• Thorough room checks to ensure everyone has evacuated
• Thorough first aid training to ensure immediate action is provided at times when first aid is required
• Completed in-depth building inspections to assess safety and check compliance with codes.
• Evaluated building drawings and proposals to identify and address code violations prior to construction.

• Learnt about how the cryptocurrency world is slowly overtaking the central banking system, and the pros and cons of such a seamless method of transaction
• Utilized simple technology to emulate scenarios of how cryptocurrency is more than capital and revenue; the ways it is secured in the internet and to prevent cyber crime is essential in understanding how it functions

• Collaborating with school members (including staff) and learning rules and regulations of the game
• Practicing weekly and focusing on specific parts of the game
• Maintained productive, efficient approach to all tasks as provided by trained coaches.

Celebrated our cultural differences through culinary appreciation

Since the club was composed of people from all around the world, each with their own dietary preferences, only vegetarian/ vegan food were cooked and using simple ingredients, we shed light upon the enormous food waste produced.

• Kept work areas clean, organized, and safe to promote efficiency and team safety.
• Worked cooperatively with other teachers, administrators, and parents to help students reach learning objectives.

Serve the City Maastricht aims to ensure serving the society through simple acts. It takes place every week for 3 hours and we act to bring a smile on everyone we meet!
