Summary

I am currently a first-year midwifery student looking to gain further healthcare experience by applying for a position as a medical assistant. My training as a midwifery student has equipped me with a strong foundation in clinical skills, patient care, and communication within a healthcare setting. Through my studies and placements, I have developed competencies in taking patient observations, supporting antenatal and postnatal care, assisting with procedures, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation. These skills are highly transferable to the role of a medical assistant, where attention to detail, professionalism, and compassion are essential.

In addition to technical skills, I bring a strong ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team and to communicate effectively with patients of diverse backgrounds. Balancing study and clinical practice has also taught me to manage time efficiently, remain adaptable, and handle responsibilities with care. By taking on this role, I aim to expand my clinical exposure, contribute meaningfully to patient care, and further strengthen the foundation I am building for a long-term career in healthcare.
