Conducted more than four weeks of placement within King Edward Memorial Hospital, integrating experiences from antenatal clinic, breastfeeding center, and postnatal wards. Acquired placement experience within Western Obstetrics Clinic engaging alongside midwives and doctors. During these placements I have:

• Supported midwives in conducting prenatal and postnatal assessments.
• Documented patient interactions and care plans in electronic health records.
• Educated expectant mothers on birthing techniques and postpartum care.
• Attended training sessions to enhance knowledge of midwifery practices and protocols.
• Collaborated with other healthcare professionals such as physicians, nurses and lactation consultants to deliver comprehensive maternity services.
• Provided physical, emotional and educational support to pregnant women throughout their pregnancies.
• Educated patients on childbirth options, nutrition and care during pregnancy.
• Administered routine prenatal tests and exams including blood pressure checks, urine analysis and weight tracking.
• Provided guidance on post-delivery recovery processes such as perineal suturing or episiotomy repair.
• Attended lectures and seminars regarding current trends in obstetric care.
• Monitored fetal heart rates using Doppler ultrasound equipment.
• Counseled women on postpartum care following birth including breastfeeding techniques, contraception methods and infant safety practices.
• Adhered to organizational guidelines for patient privacy when handling confidential information.
• Managed care and monitored pain levels of postpartum and postoperative patients.
• Evaluated fetal status by performing abdominal palpation and ultrasound examinations to estimate fetal weight, presentation and position.
