- Ran significant retail audits such as all of the above. I developed wonderful relationships with the business leaders and all levels of accounting staff. Many of these relationships still exist. Supervised, directed and mentored numerous staff of my own team.
- Worked in my father’s small family business from a very young age.
- Worked behind the counter from the age of 10; assisted with stocktaking at 12 and the valuation of the business and my father’s ultimate exit when I had my degree at 19.
- I have been told that I have a relatable and warm personality which is quite important all would agree in retail.
- Provided relief for my beloved parents when very occasionally they could take a weekend off – and on occasion I would pay for them to go - from the three jobs I had at University – tutoring; a retail role: and a Hall Monitor role at the University at which I was a resident.
