Summary

I have held multiple senior leadership roles across various sectors, demonstrating a strong commitment to social impact and community engagement. Most recently, I served as CEO of Empowered Futures, a disability services organization, on an eight-month contract during the CEO’s absence overseas. Prior to this, I was the State Manager for the Salvation Army’s Domestic and Family Violence Services across Queensland and the Northern Territory for three years, leading initiatives to support vulnerable individuals and families. Additionally, I worked as a First Nations Engagement Officer with the Disability Royal Commission, advocating for inclusive policies and systemic change. I also managed a 24-hour, 30-bed crisis accommodation and outreach domestic violence service, providing critical support to over 4,700 women and children annually. The service assisted individuals from 110 communities across six states and territories, with 85% identifying as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander. Women’s Safety Service of Central Australia (WoSSCA) extended support to culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) women from over 20 countries, as well as non-Indigenous women and children, ensuring a broad and inclusive reach. My expertise extends to project management, policy development, change management, research, and media relations. I regularly engage with a broad range of stakeholders, including Elders, clients, community members, government ministers, official visitors such as the Governor-General, public servants, and service providers both in remote areas and metropolitan regions. Additionally, I spent nearly eight years in senior roles within the Department of Health, gaining extensive experience in the primary healthcare sector. My leadership background encompasses both strategic oversight and practical, on-the-ground service delivery. Through exposure to service integration, project coordination, community relations initiatives, and policy development, I have cultivated transferable skills that allow me to drive positive change across industries. I am skilled in influencing, engaging, and facilitating improvements, leading teams and communities—including Indigenous and local populations—through transformation.
