Dimity Kidston is an experienced educator and accomplished artist with expertise in visual art, specializing in various techniques such as painting, printmaking, tapestry weaving, and ceramics. She is currently the Acting Head of Creative Arts at Radford College, and has experience in a range of educational environments. Dimity earned a Bachelor of Arts with Honors from the Australian National University, majoring in Textiles and minoring in Ceramics, and she also holds a Diploma of Education from the University of Sydney.
Throughout her career, Dimity has made significant contributions as a textiles tutor, tapestry lecturer, and secondary relief teacher. Notably, she established and continues to operate a ceramic studio in Bali since 2013, where she skillfully blends traditional techniques with contemporary designs. Her artworks are featured in private collections and commercial spaces worldwide.
At Radford College, Dimity has embraced leadership roles, including Assistant Head of Year 7, and Year 7 Interdisciplinary Coordinator. She is an accredited professional member of Craft ACT and holds a Youth Mental Health First Aid accreditation, highlighting her commitment to student welfare and professional growth within the arts education sector. Her leadership at Radford focuses on innovative teaching, curriculum development, and creating an environment that champions creativity and artistic expression.
