My Duties as the Project Engineer

• Reporting progress of the project daily to the Project Director
• Addressing public complaints and requests
• Traffic management by arranging alternative roads during the asphalt laying and culvert construction is in progress
• Providing instructions for Road Safety and occupational safety
• Maintaining Quality Assurance/ Quality Control procedures
• Reviewing Geometric designs and Pavement designs
• Preparation of project status reports
• Checking Contractor's payment certificates
• Attending for Monthly Progress Review meetings and present progress of the project, cash flow, future work schedules of the project using MS PowerPoint presentations
• Forecasting requirement of material, equipment and labour and make arrangements to deliver them to site
• Coordinating with utility agencies for shifting of utilities
• Monitoring Performance Based Maintenance (PBM) of the already completed roads
• Monitoring the work programme and work progress.

• Plotting of Survey Plans, Longitudinal Sections and Cross Sections
