My role as a work experience carpenter was strictly to assist and completel simple tasks due to my young age and to assist me in building a firm routine and knowledge based around choosing and building a career while gaining knowledge in the framing stage of commercial amounts or carpentry work.

My role at Laser Cabinets began as an apprentice Cabinet maker,

Being the only employee within my beginning weeks I had efficiently learnt how to

- Create and maintain a positive relationship with customers

- Measure Jobs

- Create plans and cutting lists

- Construct the vision from paper to reality

- Install cabinetry in kitchens and bathrooms

- Making sure safety and regulations of both factory and on-site work were up to standards

My employer had decided 6 months into my employment that he would like to stay in office while I completed all floor tasks with the knowledge I had quickly gained moving my pay to an adequate amount based on my knowledge quickly growing.

My role at Icon Installations being the only employee included

- Measurement to installation of cabinetry and joinery

- Installation of bench tops and waterfalls

- Removing old flooring

- Removing and replacing wall and ceiling plaster

My role at Cassar Earthworks currently includes

- Preparing and leveling soil pre build

- Backfilling soil and crush rock post slab

- Frame cleans

- Brick Cleans

- Hebel Cleans

- Fixing Cleans

- Scaffold Cleans pre/post

- Final and After final cleans

- Assuring the termite guard and piping are completely covered post final

- Assuring there is a correct fall around the house for rain to pour away from the house

Knowledge Gained

- Wide view of before and after photos from a company iPad

- Use of company software to show completion of my jobs and uploading photos

- Visuals of each stage of house production standards
