Career Overview

A driven, thorough, and resourceful Purchasing officer with business understanding and thinking, with over 20 years of contrasting work experiences with the last 10 years being with DNATA Catering. Currently, I am in the position of Purchasing Officer. Although officially in my current role a short time. My experience within this role has been ongoing over the last 5 years working with the purchasing team. Initially a Stores person but that role quickly expanded due to my ability and hardworking nature which then moved onto helping the purchasing team, eventually leading to the Purchasing Officer roll. In my current duties as Purchasing Officer, I work in a mercurial environment that requires an in-depth knowledge and understanding of Purchasing functions and ERP systems. Along with this, it also requires particular attention to detail, liaising with customers, suppliers and other departments, organizational and problem-solving skills; with this I bring my understanding of the airline catering industry and supply chain knowledge all of which I have acquired over the years. In addition to this role, I have also taken on some other duties these include but are not limited too. Day to day organization and time management of goods receivals and de-boxing staff including daily staff meetings, rostering, weekly manager catch ups, working with Quality Assurance to adhere to strict HACCP policies though paperwork and regular audits (internal and external) and training of new staff members. I feel as though I am an approachable person who is continuously striving to make myself a better person by learning from others. I have a strong work ethic and meticulous attention to detail.
