A passionate and energetic Early Childhood Educator, devoted to successfully preparing children for a full educational career. Committed to developing capable, resilient and independent children for the 21st Century, where they can build confident self-identities in an inclusive classroom. Striving to build positive rapport with my children daily to develop a strong and trusting relationship, so children develop a sense of belonging and safety to voice their ideas. Being a part of such a diverse society, cultural acceptance is a major theme embedded into my classroom. All children have something special to bring to their education and the education of others. I strive to create welcoming environments, instilled with positive relationships and meaningful experiences, to ensure learning in the first few years of a child’s school life develops committed, lifelong learners.

Accredited Walker Learning Teacher- At the start of my career at LWLC, I voiced the need for more 'play-based' learning in the early years and the potential to integrate Walker Learning. This journey began in 2021, I attended many PD's, observations and study tours. I began implementing this pedagogy in 2022 and was then assigned a mentor to observe my classroom organisation and teaching using this approach. I was granted accreditation by the end of 2022. The comment made "You are a natural, this was one of the quickest and easiest accreditation processes."
Pastoral Care Coordinator- in 2023 I was awarded the position of PC coordinator. Chosen by the principal, my role was to 'assist' to Head of Primary. In this role I met with the coordinators once a week we discussed; possible issues, teacher wellness, individual needs, parent concerns and school needs. I also raised community awareness for National celebrations eg. World Kindness Day, Jump Rope for Heart, Great Veggie Crunch, Constable care, First Aid incursions. I had to create posters and flyers to raise community awareness for School events. I also communicated with community professionals eg. Department of Transport. I ran the YourMove program at our school, as a result for effective implementation school-wide I received a grant for LWLC from the Department of Transport. This money was used to fund the Early Years 'Bike safety' Equipment (traffic lights, helmets and road signs).
