• Conducted training sessions on evidence-based practices, to improve patient care on the ward.

Throughout the duration as an Agency Nurse, diversity and adaptability were strengths I leaned into.

I utilised pre existing knowledge and skills and built upon these substantially throughout these years.

Medical, Surgical, Trauma Orthopaedic, Paediatric, ICU and Emergency Nursing were all areas I successfully worked in.

Participation in ongoing professional development to gain the expected knowledge required in these departments, resulted in an extremely diverse skill basis and broad knowledge of various nursing modalities.

I enjoyed sharing my knowledge with colleagues and delivering education in formal and non formal settings. I frequently served as a preceptor for students on clinical placement and was frequently invited to return for further contracts, due to my contributions and support as a senior nurse.

• Delivered patient care for Trauma Orthopaedic surgery patients in a 24 bed unit, utilising best practices and protocols.

Medical Ward, 48 beds including 4 beds for Haemodialysis.

• Delivery of nursing care in a diverse Medical ward, including a large population of both Peritoneal and Haemodialysis patients.
• Educating patients and families on renal care management, promoting understanding of treatment processes.
• Caring for a large population of Aboriginal patients, broadening my understanding of the indigenous culture to further improve patient outcomes.
