Accomplishments

I established a community group in April 2018 called 'Thriving Together'.


After experiencing a loss to mental illness I wanted to start a group for people to come together so they knew they weren't alone.


Our group met twice a month. The first Thursday of the month was our activity night, experiencing something we normally wouldn't have due to not having anyone to go with or being outside our comfort zone. The third Thursday of the month we tried somewhere new in Bendigo to have dinner. Both nights were filled will communication, connection and laughter.


This group has now ceased as of 2025 due to personal commitments but we are all still in touch via social media. I strongly believe a stranger is just a friend we haven't met yet and that the smallest act of kindness can make a huge difference in peoples lives.

Interests

I enjoy spending my time connecting with family and friends


Activities I enjoy are creating art/crafting, going to the movies and having dinner at different restaurants


I love to holiday on cruises and making memories, disconnecting from the online world and just being present where I am
